DetailsThis is an original acrylic painting made by me, Sierra Miller. This is a painting of plump red lips slightly open to show bright white teeth on a yellow, peach, pink mixture background. This is all on a 20" X 16" stretched canvas. * The canvas is slightly warped at the bottom left corner. I didn't notice it until I had already finished the painting. It still looks nice. You can also always get a frame for it.*
I asked my sister Summer to draw lips for me because I really wanted to paint a fun painting of lips, but I'm really terrible at drawing them. So she sketched them out for me on the canvas. This is the first time she's ever done anything for me. She also had no other part in the rest of the design and painting.
After I had the lips sketched on, I outlined the lips and teeth. For the teeth, I started with a very light grey. Then I went over it again with white. For the inside of the mouth, I went in with the same grey has the teeth. I then went over it with a light pink. for the lips, I outlined them with red. I waited for it to dry, then I filled them in with the same red. After the lips were done, well at least for that moment, I did the background. I wanted something soft to really focus in on the lips, so I did a light yellow with light pink together. I poured a little bit of both on the canvas and used quick brush strokes to mix them together which then created a peachy-ness to the background. I was so obsessed with the outcome of the background I didn't want to really touch it after. Once the background was done, I went back in on the lips. I first went over the teeth with white again and again until I got the paint kinda pop off the canvas. For inside the mouth, I went back in with a mixture of light grey and light pink which made a very pretty purpley color. For the lips, I used a cherry red to outline them again. Then I went back in with the red to fill them until they were nice and red enough. The last thing I did was adding just a little bit to the background so it wasn't so plain. I used metallic pearl paint and did very light brush strokes every now and then around the lips. Then I did tiny little dots all around. I love pearl because it doesn't take away from the color of the background while still giving it a beautiful shiny effect.
I think this painting would be great in a bedroom or bathroom. It's so pretty to look at in the light because of the shiny-ness in the background, so I suggest to hang it somewhere well lit.
All my stuff are my own designs! Even though I had my sister sketch out the lips, she had no part in the process of painting. The background is my own design, the lips coloring was my own idea.
I mostly do abstract paints. All paintings are one of a kind!

Custom and personalized orders
I usually can make custom orders, please ask first and make sure you add a note to the order so I can know. Also custom orders may take longer to process, but I try my best to get it all done as fast as I can.
Are the earrings heavy?
Most of my earrings are extremely lightweight and if not still don't pull down on the ear. They are all made from light materials like; paper, felt, light wood, or plastic.
