DetailsThis is an original acrylic painting made by me, Sierra Miller. This is a painting of two red cherries with an abstract background that consists of different pinks and reddish purples. This is on a 20" X 16" stretched canvas.
This painting is inspired by my favorite soda, Cherry Coke. When I started painting I wasn't sure what to paint at all and I was looking around to get inspiration and noticed how much I love the color of the coke can. So I started with pink and thio violet. I poured a little of each color on top of the canvas and mixed them together with long brush strokes. After it was dried I then used a little bit of red, magenta and crimson hue. I added to the canvas little brushstrokes of each color. After I was done, I hated it. I felt like I had ruined the whole painting. So I tried to fix it by doing what I originally did and that was to mix the two colors, thio violet, and pink together. I felt indifferent about it. After a few days, I looked at it again and thought, "If I turn it vertical and paint a cherry I think I can fix it." So I went at it again. Before turning the canvas vertical, I added little brushstrokes of light pink across it. After that, I did the cherries. I first started sketching out two circles. I then painted them pink. While I was still trying to decide on what color I wanted the cherries to be, I went in on the stems. Which are a mixture of light green and phthalocyanine green. When I was done I then went on to the cherries again. I first added alizarin crimson hue, which is a deep red color, to the left side of the circles. Before it was completely dried, I used primary red and moved that across the cherry starting on the right side. I then added light pink at the top right and mixed it in with the red. After the cherries were finished I did tiny bubbles of magenta and thio violet to the background to represent the carbonation of the cola.
This painting is a perfect size for anywhere. It would go great in a kitchen or dining area because of the cherry. Or it could be a great gift for your cherry obsessed (or cherry coke obsessed) friend or loved one!

Custom and personalized orders
I usually can make custom orders, please ask first and make sure you add a note to the order so I can know. Also custom orders may take longer to process, but I try my best to get it all done as fast as I can.
Are the earrings heavy?
Most of my earrings are extremely lightweight and if not still don't pull down on the ear. They are all made from light materials like; paper, felt, light wood, or plastic.
Gift wrapping and packaging
If you want me to gift wrap any order, please make a note when you purchase. I'm more than happy to!
